Dark eye circles/bags

Dear make up gurus,

I need a remedy for my dark eye circles/bags... They are becoming unsightly. HELP
Also is there a way to look more radiant without using blusher? Maybe you girls can recommend me some food to take instead of those to put on my face :)

1. use the collagen eye mask from the face shop, reduces wrinkles.

2. use garnier lightening face mask as to brighten up the complexion.

3. also draw eyeliner on the lower eye lash line, helps to define the eyes n take attention away from the dark eye rings.

4. if your skin type is dry, think can try clinique's all about eyes rich, it's an eye cream about $50, think it's quite nourishing. :)

for radiance, i thought you can get illuminating powder/lotion/moituriser;
i dunno what brand cos i nv use b4.
it supposedly gives you complexion a natural glow.

have u used you everydayminerals stuff yet?

for eyebags, i say drink lots of water, slp early and don't drink water 2-3 hrs before u slp.

for radiance, i say eat healthy and excercise. hahahaha.

back to basics dear. =)

wr, are you using any eye cream?

i'm using Clinelle Eye Bright, which is reasonably priced at around $30, and it works for my fine lines and eyebags (especially during the 6am waking days).

radiance? haha. my trick is still blusher and the everydayminerals blusher is really good, doesn't clog my pores and can actually stay on the entire day (through the toil and sweat of my occupation). i've tried AllSmiles (which gives me an extremely perky look) but now i prefer Plum Dust (a more muted, rosy tone, suitable for my skin colour/type but too dark for HY i think).

otherwise, like yd suggested, exercise? take more vegetables/fruits. early nights, NO alcohol. haha.

otherwise, you can try taking collagen. i've tried the Fancl collagen pills, not much of an effect on me, but a positive change for HY. i've switched to Vitagen's collagen drink, which is easier on the pocket. if you're feeling rich, you can try Fancl's collagen drink, which has had rave reviews.

hrm i think i face the same probs as u wr. clinique's repairwear eye cream doesn't work on me. i've tried changing my eating and sleeping habits (eat fruits almost everyday, sleep by 11pm, drink a lot of water), except the exercise part, but i can't really see much effect. so i'm getting rather jaded haha.

but for blusher, i do like everyday minerals' Nick Nack. it's light pink so it looks natural (not two rosy patches on my cheeks).

yd,

i think its not bad. i mean i don't expect it to entirely erase my fine lines (after all, signs of aging are almost irreversible), but it does reduce my eye puffiness and moisturize the area around my eyes. plus, its parent brand is dermalogica.

currently using clinique 3-step, but thinking of trying something new. :)

hmm. eye cream sounds good! where did u get it from?

i just switched to clinique 3 steps too. i like the moisturiser cos it smells really gd. thou i still getting pimples, i think it's bcos of diet. acne scars seem to be lightening n cheeks feel more supple. just wish the damn pimples will go away already. this 6 mths my complexion has suffered blow after blow. quite frustrating. feel like an awkward overgrown teenager. =(

ok. stop rambling yd. me want to eat collagen too! the dainty gollagen mask seem to be pretty gd too!

yd,

you can buy the product from Watsons.

and could your skin problems be caused by make-up? going to work means putting on make-up for five full days...?

hmm. not sure ehs. but i gave up putting alot of make up when i go work. now only put a thin layer of ZA two way cake. partially also bcos i'm always rushing for time. haha.

Me using clinique 3 step too!!! Normal - so the moisturizer is not too oily type.

I am trying the repair cream which is a free sample. It is suppose to reduce lines. There is another produce which helps to reduce puffiness. Thinking of asking Shuqiu to get from HK cos it seems cheaper there. (that is the cream YJ is talking about)

Haven't gotten my everyday minerals so I cant comment on it yet.

Siok>> maybe I should try the Clinelle Eye bright, where did you get it from?

I plan to look pretty in not so costly way :D so collagen pills out of the question.

Wah! Didn't expect such a good response. Maybe i should ask more questions...

Cheers,
WR

hello..
i think to have rosy complexion thingy is really quite impossible to achieve without makeup unless u naturally has it. cos its like hair quality u cant really change it to dark black/ thicker/ straighter even if you change ur diet. i think its all in the genes.

however i think clear skin is achievable with the change of diet and lifestyle. i heard from pro-active that drinking milk can cause bad acne problem for some people. alcohol isnt that bad except its dehydrating and since usually u dun replace the liquid u consumed it become bad for the skin. i think not getting enuf slp is worse

for eyebags/ eye circles i think we have to rely on cream. im planning to use the ZA future defense range after i finished my products will wriite abt it then.

right now im using nivea antishadow refreshing eye cream/gel.nt bad considering i didnt use it religiously. Eye makeup contributes to eye circles if you dont remove them thoroughly. when it sets into the skin u probably will have eye circles for life so its a big no-no to slp with eye makeup.

so gd luck ppl. i love London Tipton! Ditto!
