the face shop

i have been using the face shop's products since 2 years back, tried a couple of series, yet i don't seem to see any wonderful effects. so a few months back, i decided to abandon face shop to try other brands.

this is the dewy flower series (emulsion and essence), and it's meant for people with combi/oily skin as it supposedly controls the overproduction of sebum. however, even though i don't apply a lot at one go, i sitll feel my face being sticky and a little oily.

next i tried the pore minimizing series, but i didn't see my pores becoming smaller. so it's useless too.

ah, then i moved on to brightening. sales assistant told me the white tree series was the face shop's award-winning series. sounds good. and it was also little pricier than previous products i've used. so i thought, ok. i'll start with the toner and then slower switch. but i also don't see any brightening effect. dunno if i'm supposed to use with the whole series then i'll see the effect or wat. and it kinda makes my face oily too.

so far, i think the best product i've used from the face shop is the raspberry roots series. this essence was the first i've ever tried from the face shop, and also the first one ever in my life. it's supposed to have tightening and lifting effects and it really works.

however, when i wanted to get my second bottle after i finished the first, the sales assistant told me it was OOS. and after quite some time, the stock still didn't arrive. so i stopped using it and switched to the dewy flower one (above). which brings me to something i don't really like about the face shop. there have been several occasions whereby the product that i was looking for became OOS, or was discontinued. on instances when the products were OOS, the sales assistants don't seem to know when the new stock will arrive. so i'm not really happy with the kind of service they have.
